Revlon Lip Butter Review and Swatches

The muched hyped Revlon Lip Butters have landed in NZ. Not quite a lipstick but more pigmented than a lipbalm, Lip Butters are the new 'thing' for the makeup community.

I bought the shade 'Peach Parfait' which personally I think is more berry toned than peach but they're the experts right? Peach Parfait is a mid-tone pink with silver and gold shimmer that gives it a glossy finish. The Lip Butters are nice and moisturising with a reasonable wear time of a couple of hours. They feel really good on the lips so even though they don't have the longevity of a a lipstick, they are much nicer to wear so it balances out the annoyance of re-application.

The Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters retail for around $24.99 and are available in 20 different shades. You should be able to find them at all Revlon make-up stands and in Farmers.

So, are they worth the hype? I'm a little on the fence about this one. I do love the feel of them and the great range of colours but the major selling point for overseas buyers has been the amazing price and I think $24+ is a little hefty for what is essentially a nicely packaged, well pigmented lip balm.

Would I buy again: Yes.

What are your thoughts on the Revlon Lip Butters?
